The Usual Suspects

Too little fiber. Dietary fiber, the indigestible, healthful stuff found in vegetables, cereals, and legumes, has been called nature’s scrub rush because it helps stools move more quickly through the body. Most commercial dog foods contain a lot of cereals which are very high in fiber. Dogs who mainly eat meat, however. may not be getting enough fiber to stay regularly.

Not enough water. The stools absorb large amounts of water in the digestive tract, and as they swell, they stimulate the intestines, Dogs who don’t drink much water because it’s not available or because their thirst mechanisms aren’t as sensitive as they should be often get constipated because the stools are too hard and small to stimulate intestinal movements.

Lack of exercise. The large intestine is a muscle, and like any muscle it needs regular exercise to work efficiently.

Overweight. Dogs who are a little pudgy are more likely to get constipated because fat deposits in the abdomen can interfere with the intestines’ normal movements. Overweight dogs also tend to get less exercise, and this makes the intestines work less efficiently.

Eating trash. Dogs who sanck on garbage are more likely to get diarrhea than constipation, except when they eat cardboard, paper, or plastic, which can partially block the digestive tract and make it harder for stools to get through.

Anyways, my dogs are sleeping on one big pillow. Sometimes, they would share with the pillow but most of the time they would fight over it just to have the middle/center part of the pillow where one of them can sleep soundly.

I love my dogs so much and I want the best for them. So, tomorrow I will be briniging them into a Dog Salon to have them grooming. They need it because they already have matted hairs and they keep on scratching their bodies. Maybe, the parasites are atacking again and I need to put some Frontline or Revolution on their bodies. It’s not really easy to have a Shih Tzu, one must have the patience, time and dedication if you are planning to get a Shih Tzu puppy of your own. But, even though it’s not that easy and this kind of breed is really exepensive they would really steal your heart after work and would make you smile even if you’re stressed from work.

I am planning to search some Shih Tzu puppies for sale again because I want to have another one. I already have two Shih Tzus here and they give me real happiness! They give me unconditional love and they’re always there for me Well, I am searching for another Shih Tzu puppy so my two dogs here will be happy again, ahihii…I really Shih Tzus!

Yesterday was a busy day for me and for my dogs. We went out to a park to have a long walk. My dogs need to exercise because they just stay inside our house and they only go out in our garden every Sundays and sometimes I don’t let them play outside because they will be stinky and dirty, ahihi. Anyways, after our long walk at the park I received a message from my close friend informing me that there’s this trade show displays of pet supplies and items at a certain mall in the city. I was bringing my TWO dogs and I was planning to send them home because I can’t guard them while looking for the different trade show exhibits. So, I just went home and leave my dogs there and changed my clothes. There were a lot of items at the trade show. They have pet treats, dog’s clothes, shoes, house, medicines and vitamins, etc.

To check for dehydration, lift the skin on the dog’s back near the neck. Release it and see how quicly it snaps back - it should be firm and springy within seconds. when dogs are dehydrated, the skin will creep back slowly or not at all. This means their body is very low on water and they need to see a vet right away.

I just passed my two blogs for them to check it and it qualifies after two weeks of waiting. After a week, I have link assignments and all the topics suit to all my blogs. They are not too demanding unlike other programs. They will just ask you to make a simple entry of your own and just include their links/s. Sounds too simple, right.

Dogs with kennel cough are often reluctant to eat because their throats are sore, which can be a problem because they need extra nutrients to help their immune systems stave off secondary infections. One way to encourage dogs to eat is to warm up their food a little, which releases aromas that stimulate their appetites. One also recommends stirring chicken or beef broth into their food. This makes it more appetizing and also softens it so they’ll find it a bit easier to get down.

Sponsors of the said event would really put their own trade show booths to showcase their own products. They have different type of displays and items. We will have our Family Day this coming Saturday and this is really very different among all the Famiy Days that I joined before. It invites not only the members of the family but all the families’ pets too. Sounds good for me, so I will bring my two furballs on that event so they can also socialize to different pets around the world, ahihi. My friends will be bringing their cats, fishes and dogs too. We also got some minor sponsors who would display their pet products so are pets will also enjoy on that event. There will also be free pet treats upon registration. This Family Day would be really great because all of us are INVITED. But be sure that your dogs are vaccinated with anti-rabies to prevent any harm. See you there!
